Wilson is a Mechanical Engineer from IIT Kharagpur and an MBA from IIM Bangalore. He has over 21 years of rich & diverse experience in the commercial division of Tata Steel. In his first 5-year stint in Marketing, he set-up the Key Market Development processes for Tata Steel. Moving into Sales for the next 5 years, in Chennai & Mumbai, he set-up the National Account concept with large construction customers. He is a certified Theory of Constraint Application Expert, by the Goldratt Schools and has set-up the supply chain transformation models at TSL extended to the Distributors & Retailers. He was the Head of Corporate Strategy & Planning for 5 years during which TSL was awarded the Deming Grand Prize. He has been the Chief Sales Manager of Tata Steel for the Eastern Region generating revenue base of 5000Cr pa., before moving into the role of Driving Business Excellence & Innovation. As Chief of Business Excellence & New Projects, alongwith his young Innovent team, he has developed Innovative concepts and conducted Market Pilots for various Steel Solutions like Pravesh Steel Doors, Vista Windows, Steel Integrated Solar Modules and many others. During this 3 year stint, he has also been representing India & Tata Steel at the Economics Committee of the World Steel Association, developing outlook for Steel Demand in India. Currently he has moved on to lead the Integration of the commercial function of Tata Steel with their new acquisitions – Bhushan Steel Ltd, and Usha Martin Limited.
He has represented his college in Football & Hockey and was part of his hostel music band. He loves sports, reading books on spirituality and helping in social causes.
